Loading live exchange rates…
Quick answer
Enter an amount and pick the From and To currencies — the converter applies the latest exchange rate fetched live when the page loads. Converting USD to EUR multiplies your amount by the current USD→EUR rate, and cross rates such as JPY to KRW are computed through the US dollar as the base.
Formula & method
converted = amount × (rate_to ÷ rate_from)
All currencies are quoted against a common base (USD), so any pair is handled by dividing the target rate by the source rate.

- Save 100 USD→EUR, then 100 USD→GBP
- Result
- both listed below
- Why
- Saved conversions stack in a table so you can compare them; the list clears when you refresh.
When to use this tool
- Budgeting for travel or an online purchase priced in another currency.
- Quickly checking roughly what a foreign price is in your own currency.
- Comparing several currencies at once using the save-to-compare list.
Common mistakes
- Treating the rate as a transaction price. These are mid-market rates for information; banks, cards, and apps add a margin, so your actual exchange will be a little worse.
- Expecting second-by-second updates. Free exchange-rate feeds refresh roughly once a day — perfect for estimates, not for live trading.
- Confusing the direction. 1 USD = 0.92 EUR is not the same as 1 EUR = 0.92 USD — use the swap button to flip the pair correctly.
Frequently asked questions
Are the exchange rates live?
Yes. Rates are fetched from a public exchange-rate feed when the page loads, so they reflect the latest published mid-market rates. Free feeds update about once per day.
Which currencies are supported?
160+ world currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, KRW, INR, AUD, CAD and many more — plus gold and silver in some feeds.
Why is my bank's rate different?
This shows the mid-market (interbank) rate. Banks, cards, and money-transfer services add a spread or fee, so the rate you actually receive is usually slightly worse.
Can I convert between two non-USD currencies?
Yes. Rates are quoted against the US dollar and the tool computes the cross rate automatically, so any pair such as EUR→JPY works.
Do the saved conversions stay after I close the page?
No. The save-to-compare list is kept only for the current session and clears when you refresh or close the tab — nothing is stored.
Is my data sent anywhere?
The amount you type stays in your browser. The tool only fetches public exchange rates; no personal data is uploaded.
